The Village of Baltimore maintains three shelter houses:
- Johnson Park Shelter House
- Basil Community Center
- Alt Park Shelter House
The Alt Park Shelter House cannot be reserved.
The shelter houses at Johnson Park and Basil Park may be reserved by coming to the Village Offices at 103 West Market Street. You may also call the office to check on the availability of a shelter house. The rental fee and deposit need to be paid at the time that a shelter house is reserved.
Shelter House Rental Rates
Half Day (9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.)
Basil Park Community Center

Johnson Park Shelter House

Full Day (9:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.)

- $150 resident
- $225 non-resident
Johnson Park Shelter House

Security Deposit:
- $50
All renters of the shelters shall be charged a $50.00 security deposit, which shall be refunded if the event is cancelled in a timely fashion (with ten days advance notice) or if the shelter is left in a clean condition after the event concludes. Otherwise, the security deposit shall be retained by the Village.
